About this event

SFCDMA invites you to join us on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the majestic Green Room at the San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center for a very special celebration!

The Gala is our signature annual event and in 2023 we’ll be joined by City and State dignitaries, local business leaders, and entrepreneurs for an evening of networking, featured speakers, cuisines spanning the city and the globe, an auction, raffle, and awards ceremony!

We will celebrate San Francisco - “The Cultural Capital” - and will tell the City’s incredible story through music, art and cuisine, and shine the spotlight on our unique and creative small business community, spanning all 29 of the merchant corridors we represent.

Our Emcees:

Cream

San Francisco-based artist Brandon Rios creatively works out of his home studio in Russian Hill. While investing over twenty years in visual and creative work, Brandon began the art of drag and performing in early 2017.

With his expressive eye for detail and big dreams, Brandon learned how to do makeup, style hair, and sew to create the strange and unique looks for his drag persona CREAM.

If you can dream it, Cream can Queen it. Arguably one of the Bay Area's most versatile and creative performers, Cream’s looks are always provocative and impeccably styled. With her natural humor and undeniable charm, you’ll be left Screaming… “YAAASS CREAM.”

Donna Sachet

Nearly 30 years ago, Donna Sachet started her adventure in San Francisco and the City has applauded her fun-loving spirit, quick wit, and musical talent ever since. She became Miss Gay SF in 1993 and the 30th elected Empress of SF in 1995. Donna can be seen throughout the Community, performing, judging contests, emceeing fund-raisers, producing events, cutting ribbons, and hosting parties.

Donna currently writes a bi-weekly column, Donna’s Chronicles, for the SF Bay Times, is president of the Rainbow Honor Walk, and serves on the Advisory Board of PRC.
